Fete Sponsors

Our thanks are due particularly to those who have sponsored the Fete, and certain of the specific items.

SHEPHERDS ESTATE AGENTS of Millbridge, Hertford have again been generous enough to sponsor the event as a whole, and this is a continuation of many years of support from them.

LONGMORES SOLICITORS of Castle Street, Hertford, and one of their partners RICHARD TAYLOR, who is very well known to us all locally, have again been good enough to sponsor the ST. ALBANS CITY BAND, and we are most grateful to the Brass Band themselves for appearing once more.

In that respect, our thanks are due to GRAHAM SMITH for lending and erecting the Marquee again for us - it is invaluable for the City Band.

Our old friend, RICHARD SALTHOUSE and the Directors of POWELLS FUNERAL DIRECTORS at Hertford and Ware have kindly provided sponsorship again, and this is in respect of prizes for the children.

MR. LOCKHEAD of ADL in Hertford is the person who has provided the fine looking new timber shingles roof covering to the pavilion which villagers will have been able to see on the day of the Fete and subsequently, and he has most generously donated towards the day as well, for which we are grateful.

Particular thanks are due to JANE HOARE herself for the extensive work that she has put into the Fete over the last few months, and for her very ward work in the last week or so in order to make the Fete the outstanding success that it was this year.
