Cyclist

CONGRATULATIONS to the three cyclists who took part in the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Historic Churches Trust ride round the churches of the Diocese, and the one who stayed put! John and Joan Brewer visited thirty-two churches and raised between them an amazing £150, and Tim Pigden visited a magnificent sixty churches and raised £100. A really excellent effort, and as St Mary's will receive half of the money sent to the Trust, a very big thank you to all three of you! Thank you too, to Rev'd Rosemary who was also sponsored to be in the church all day, to welcome and sign in all the cyclists who visited St Mary's on their travels round the churches. Rosemary raised an outstanding £147, so all in all it was a wonderful result! Perhaps this grand result will inspire a few more people to take part in 2004.
