Churchwardens' Challenge
How long will it take in weeks for our marvellous newly coppered spire to turn green (in the opinion of the challengers) ????? The copper has not been treated. The repairs and building fund are not at all healthy after all the work on the church and so it will cost £ 1 to place your guess. You can make as many guesses as you want with no reduction in the price you pay! If you are in the church, please fill your guess in on the copy in the porch, and put your £1(s) in the wall safe. Otherwise put your £1 m an envelope with your guess numbered in weeks, name and phone number and place it in the box in The White Horse, Hertingfordbury The Cowper Arms Letty Green or Blue Coats Antiques Birch Green. Do join in the fun!
