Look! A Blooming Competition
HERTFORD UNITED REFORMED CHURCH
Cowbridge, Hertford
in association with
THE RIVERSIDE GARDEN CENTRE
Lower Hatfield Road, Hertford
We pleased to announce that a competition for the best planter, trough, or hanging basket will take place during the summer of 2003. The three categories of the competition are open to all members of the public. To facilitate adjudication, a separate colour photograph of each entry should be taken in June and submitted, together with your entry form and fee, by Monday 30th June, so get those planters, troughs and baskets planted up in good time. Photographs will be displayed in The Riverside Garden Centre. These will be judged during early July and, after arriving at a short list of possible winners, the judges will visit these entrants to determine the three prize winners.
COST OF ENTRY TO THE COMPETITION IS £3.00 PER CATEGORY. All proceeds will go to the refurbishment fund for The Cowbridge Halls, a Community/Church facility of Hertford United Reformed Church.
The competition will be judged by Russell and Jose Jeffery of The Riverside Garden Centre who have also generously donated prizes of Riverside Garden Vouchers, each valued at £30.00 for each of the winning entries in the three categories. Entry forms and rules of the competition are now available and may be collected from The Riverside Garden Centre, Lower Hatfield Road, Hertford; from Hertford URC (Sunday or Thursday mornings only); or simply send a stamped, addressed envelope to Hertford URC c/o Don Richardson, 10 Fordwich Rise, Hertford SG14 2BE.
Our thanks to The Riverside Garden Centre for their co-operation and willingness to support this venture.
